We are a dedicated charity providing mental health support for everyone in the railway family. Whatever role you do and whoever you work for on the railways, we are here for you.
We understand that sometimes working on the railways and just life in general can be challenging. Our network of Railway Mission chaplains across England, Scotland and Wales offers a shoulder to lean on and someone to talk to about any issues big or small. The support we provide is completely free, confidential and impartial – meaning everyone can feel confident approaching us for help. Our support can run alongside other help available through employers.
Railway Mission chaplains have helped support people through hard times, including loneliness, stress, workplace change, depression, relationship breakdowns, financial worries, grief and illness. No matter what you are going through, we are here for you. We offer face-to-face friendship and help to explore a way forward; no judgement, just support. We also provide help when serious incidents or fatalities happen on the railway. We respond quickly, offering calm, compassionate care - helping you feel heard, supported, and never alone.
Our chaplains are available for a chat in person or by phone, for short-term support or to help through longer periods of difficulty. We are here for all railway staff regardless of role, beliefs, gender or race.
